Description

The Shell 4000 and its derivatives was held a total of 12 times with various configurations. The Shell 4000 was a major international rally that during the 1960s attracted factory teams and some of the top rally and race drivers in the world.  The start and finish cities over the years following years; 1961 – 1964 –1965 – 1966 – 1967 – 1968 – 1971 – 1994 – 1995 – 1997 . In 1967 Expo The Shell 4000 ran a rally from Vancouver to Montreal, were one of the cars featured was a 1967 red R/S Camaro. This car finished first place 4 out 5 check point during this rally. At the 4th check point the 67 camaro was pulled from the rally. It was later that year sold to Fredrick Eglsaer who had the car for a few years.. then sold it… The history of this car is unknow but it is believed to have found its way to the states.  During a camping trip in Vermount, it was found in a local scrap yard still sporting the expo 67 licence plate. It was crushed for scrap before the funds could be generated…
